Type of Deposit When Funds will be Available
Direct Deposit; Electronic Funds Transfers The Business Day when due, if received. If not received when due/ effective then credit on the day received.
ATM Deposits and Transfers The first Business Day after the day of deposit, in most cases. Deposits made after the cutoff time of the ATM machine owner, if any, will be credited to your account on the 2nd Business Day after the day of deposit. Such as deposits that are made on weekends after the Sunday cutoff time; or on Mondays after the cutoff time; if a Holiday or not our Business Day. These deposits will be credited on the 2nd Business Day.
Cash; Wires; US Treasury Checks The first Business Day after the day of deposit. If presenting in person at the Credit Union, then same day of deposit.
Cashier Checks, Certified Checks, or Official Checks The first Business Day after the day of deposit. If presenting in person at the Credit Union, then same day of deposit.
Federal Reserve Checks; Postal Money Orders The first Business Day after the day of deposit.
Local Checks The first Business Day after the day of deposit in most cases. Occasionally, some funds from local checks may not be available until the 2nd Business Day after the day of deposit. In those cases, the first $200 may be available.
Non-Local Checks The second Business Day after the day of deposit, in most cases. There may be some circumstances that require a “hold” for three (3) to five (5) days.

NEW ACCOUNTS

There may be occasions when holds may be longer (for instance on newly opened accounts). Holds may be longer than normal depending on the type of deposits made to open the new account.  The use of personal, local, or non-local checks may require holds of up to nine (9) business days and under some circumstances up to thirty (30) days after deposit.

The Credit Union reserves the right to place “holds” on funds in accounts for legitimate reasons, such as delinquent loans, delinquent VISA balances, overdrawn/negative checking or savings balances, pre-authorized Debit Card purchases, out of state personal checks, etc.  The Credit Union will notify the member of these holds, but is not obligated to inform the member before the hold takes place.  Pledges may be made to hold funds in accounts to comply with lending covenants.
